This book is an excellent teacher resource which could be used in a number of different learning areas, being useful to those who wish to teach particular skills though a focus study might wish to be able to dip into a text and take a case study to develop skills currently being taught. Therefore this is useful form either a skills or subject focus.
The book is also quite versatile in that it could be used from years 7 to 10, with activities that are readily adaptable to different age levels. For example ‘International Travel Tasks’, ‘Urbanisation in Asia’, and ‘What is the Silk Road?’. In each unit of work there are a number of activities that support the information material, with explanations of how to incorporate these into each lesson. Also included are unit summaries and outcome outlines.
