Zou ba! is comprehensive and extensive. It can be used independently by learners or as the main component of a classroom program. Zou ba! is task-based and gives students a high degree of control over the pace of their learning.
Each of the units in the three CD-ROMs begins with a comic style ‘scenario’ or ‘feature’ to introduce new language. Students are then given a task that reinforces and demonstrates their knowledge of new and learned language. Supporting the units is a dictionary of the vocabulary (including Hanzi stroke number), cultural information, photographs and a checklist for students to record progress.
Teachers are provided with a detailed explanation of the learning sequence, a summary of each unit of work, printable worksheets for off-computer tasks, classroom management tips and merit certificate pro formas.
